Real All Smiles Even After Losing 12-1!

Real Milan players pay silent tribute to George Best before yesterdays match.

Real Milan players showed a fantastic team spirit today after suffering their worst defeat in their short history. Beaconsfield SYCOB, top of Division 1, quite simply gave Milan a footballing lesson in this Challenge Cup match. Breathtakingly simple at times, the home team took the lead after just 25 seconds! and were 6 up after 15 minutes. Every shot resulted in a goal, and Real became shell shocked at such devastating finishing. The passing and movement by Beaconsfield left Milan players chasing shadows. By half time it was 10-1, Josh Lake scored a beauty to reduce the deficit.( Slightly).
At the interval Real players were speechless for once, and sat open mouthed at their opponents superiority.
Then a strange thing happened. Real Milans' players, acknowledging the game was already lost, decided to give it a real go in the second half. "Lets show them what we can do", said Captain Jordan Pritchard, a thought echoed in turn by the rest of the team. Ashley Kang bless him, even said "Come on we can win this!'
Sure enough in the second half Real Milan players worked harder, tackled stronger, and passed better and all the players gave 110%. Beaconsfield scored only twice more and Anthony Gardner was unlucky to see one effort headed off the line. When the match ended and everyone shook hands, Real Milan players sat down exhausted outside the penalty area. There were no tears or aguments or attempts to blame. There were only smiles of satisfaction, because although they lost, they never once gave up and all the players said how much they enjoyed the match. They had appreciated that there opponents were the better team and they took from it some very valuable lessons.
Ultimately, what matters most is not winning or losing, what really counts is that you do your best.
New signing Ronaldo was the SDK Sponsored Man Of The Match.
