Real Milan 0 Chalfont Saints 7
Berks and Bucks Cup
Real Milan were rocked before kick off when Karim Usmani and Scott Lawrie withdrew from the squad. With Nysha having completely vanished, and Matty Page ruled out with a broken foot following an arguement with a car, this was far from ideal preparations.
But for 45 minutes Real Milan played superbly and went in at half time only 1-0 down to probably one of the best teams they're ever likely to face. Chalfont Saints Under 16s were runners up in Division 1 of the Wycombe and South Bucks Minor League last year. (there are Five Divisions) and in the second half Saints class finally told with 4 quality goals in a 12 minute spell.
The reshuffled Milan team can take lots of positives from the game. Renaldo playing at left back for the first time had a great game and the versatile Chris Zuber did an excellent job in 3 different positions. Jack Evans carried on where he left off last week and worked so hard in midfield. Man Of The Match Lee Bennett again proved what a talented 'keeper he is and Captain Amadou Samba led by example with a fantastic performance. Ashley Kang had a cracking game working hard and making good runs off the ball. Jordan Pritchard also played well till he got injured.
Bennett, Martin, (Zuber 45) Renaldo, Samba, Storey, Evans, Pritchard, ( Zuber 25)(O'Sullivan 40), Thorpe, (Lake) , Challis, Ocansey. Kang.
Absent; Nysha (not registered) Page (broken foot) Usmani (cold) Lawrie(Unavailable)
