Man Of The Match Award: Anthony Gardner

Real Milan coach Chris O Sullivan presents
Striker Anthony Gardner with his well deserved
SDK sponsored Man of the Match Trophy in Training
last night.
Although everybody played their part on sunday and
worked hard, Anthony got the vote by taking his play
to a new level. His no-nonsence attitude, and consistent
work rate, impressed everybody.
Well Done Anthony!

Sam And Chris Sign-Up

Sam Haggerty became the 16th and final member
of Real Milans Squad last night, when he put pen to paper
on a 1 year deal. The contract wasn't without a hitch though,
as his agent demanded 25% of his earnings right at this last minute.
This was quickly sorted and Sam, who made an impressive debut
on sunday, is now looking forward to the new season.
Chris Zuber also finalised his contract last night. Chris though will
be absent for a few weeks as he has previously arranged promotional
work in Wales and Tenerife.

I was really pleased with the team work, and the willingness to help each other, even though it was so hot. Our passing let us down on times, but overall the commitment and attitude from the players and the supporters was excellent. Everyone should feel proud-----Roger Evans

Come On You Whites!!---Joanne McCarroll

Considering the quality of the opposition, I thought we played superb. Commanches were top drawer at times today, and they just managed to hold us off. For me, Karim, Jordan, Anthony and Harley were the main men, but all the new lads were quality.----Tariq Hussain

I was very proud of the whole team's attitude especially off the pitch. The warmth and respect they gave towards my daughter Joanne was fantastic. She really enjoyed today. Special thanks to Jess-----Tracey McCarroll

Impressive Real Go Down 3-1 to Commanches

On a sun-drench sunday afternoon on a parched George Green pitch, and with temperatures approaching the 90s, the newly formed Real Milan played their hearts out, and narrowly lost 3-1.
In only there fourth ever match Real Milan passing and work rate had the Commanches in trouble from the kick off. It was Jack Evans in the twelth minute, who opened the scoring
for Real with a great finish at the far post. Then on twenty minutes, sloppy defending allowed the Commanches to equalize. Ten minutes before the end of the first half Micha produced a fantastic free kick, and bent it over the wall into the roof of the net.2-1
The second half saw Real battling to equalise, but on 70 mins Commanches popped up with a scrappy goal following a corner. Real then had two late goals disallowed from Scott Lawrie and Ashley Kang. Real finished the stronger team and only poor finishing prevented the equaliser.

Man of The Match was Anthony Gardner.

Milan Blow Hot and Cold

Bizarre behaviour in training tonight by the Real Milan squad.
Apathy and lack of concentration, marred the first hour of training
and it left the coaching staff highly unamused.
But full credit to the whole squad who amazingly performed quality
football with whole-hearted committment in a high class five-a-side
match.
Jack Evans who is showing admirable consistancy and distribution
was voted Man of Training, with Danny O'Sullivan, Harley McAuley
and George coming a very close second. But all the players worked
hard and continue to impress. Ashleys work rate and enthusiasm was
excellent, Rickys tackling and drive was superb. Jordans awareness
and passing was sublime and Scott will be the signing of the season.
Kevin looks more balanced, Tom was always positive and Anthony is
working harder than ever.
Special mention also to Richard, Jesse and Gerrard for their valued contributions.
