Iver Heath 4 Real Milan 0

Real Milans loss of form continued when they went down 4-0 to a hard working motivated Iver side. Reals pre-match preparations were rocked before hand, when striker Josh Lake was withdrawn on doctors orders, suffering leg pains. Ashley Kang was drafted as emergency centre back and Kevin just vanished. There was no warning of what was to come as Real slowly got into the game and created the first openings. Jordan Pritchard burst through in the 7th minute beating two men but firing wide. Then, from a Louis Martin free kick, Jack Evans in acres of space, shot straight at the 'keeper. Five minutes later, Anthony Gardner again shot straight at the keeper from a great chance. But it was Iver who grabbed the opening goal ten minutes before half time. A Real midfielder was caught in possession outside his own area, and Iver burst forward to fire a beauty passed the diving Anthony MacCarroll. Real weren't too concerned as they were still making chances. Two minutes before the break it was Iver who grabbed the second.
The Real players were visibly deflated at the interval. They had the most chances, yet Iver were two goals to the good. They came out second half determined to get back into the game. Josh, on for twenty minutes to try and get a goal, uncharacteristically completely miskicked with an open goal. A Renaldo rocket flew just inches wide. Ashley was tackled when he seemed bound to score. Then Karim got injured and had to to come off.
Real left just three at the back as they went in search of a goal. Anthony came back on to cause Iver more problems. Then disaster struck. Iver broke away on the counter attack and scored twice more in the last 10 minutes leaving Real shattered.
Huge credit should be given to Iver.Their defending was fantastic.Their committment superb. Their team spirit unbreakable. The number 17 played very well and was a real handful.
For the first time this season, Real just couldn't score. They didn't play badly but they were never at their best. Danny O'Sullivan Louis Martin Tom Emery and Harley McAuley stood out for Real. Anthony Gardner played very well second half as did Anthony Mac.
More worrying for Real is that Josh and Karim bring the number of injured players to SIX. Hopefully the injured players will be back soon, so that Real can finish the second half of the season with a flourish. (And hopefully we'll find Kevin)

Cup Score:Real Milan 3 Burghfield 7

In a thrilling second round cup game, Real Milan produced another great second half performance against a quality Burghfield XI. As they were down to just Twelve available players, Real had no choice but to gamble and played Renaldo at centre half.
The game burst into life after just 5 minutes. Real, still adjusting to a new back four, were caught cold when a Burghfield forward ran through unmarked to plant a fine finish past the advancing Anthony MacCarroll. Within 4 minutes Real were level. Following fine midfield work the awesome Josh Lake sent a screamer into the roof of the net fromwell outside the area. Real were on top for a while after that, with their slick one touch passing proving difficult for the blues to cope with. But Real failed to capitalise on there chances, and Burghfield slowly took control, exposing Reals back four with chilling efficiency. By half time the game looked over as Burghfield cruised to a 1-5 lead.
During the interval, Real's Management stressed the need to concentrate on passing and moving, chasing back, and working hard. and to above all enjoy yourselves!
Real came out for the second half revitalised. Some of Milans football was a joy to watch as they took the game to their division 1 opponents. Josh Lake grabbed his second, and Jordan Pritchard scored a goal of Zidane -like quality.A comeback at 3-5 looked likely with The Blues looking decidedly second best, but 2 soft goals late on,won the tie for Burghfield.
There were some fantastic performances for the the Whites by Karim Usmani, Josh Lake, Jordan Pritchard and Man Of The Match Anthony MacCarroll. Karim ran the midfield with his thunderous tackles and pinpoint passing. Josh Lake gets better every week. His work rate, effort, and superb hold-up play, had the Burghfield defenders chasing shadows. Jordan was on a different level. He scored one of the goals of the season and oozed class whenever he was in possession. Anthony MacCarroll made some great saves, was extremley brave and his catching was faultless. Tom Emery, Lewis Martin, Ronaldo and Jack Evans got stronger as the game went on and never gave up grafting. Danny O'Sullivan continues to impress with another all-action display. Kevin Long got 'stuck-in' and passed really well. Anthony Gardner had a great second half, making the opposition defence work hard. Harley McAuley proved again what a class act he is, with another impressive contribution.
Another really enjoyable game played in a competitive but sporting atmosphere, was topped off when both sides gave each other a rousing three cheers at the end. Real entered this cup competition to test themselves against strong quality teams.
The experience they've gained will prove invaluable.
